HAVE you ever seen flotsam floating in the water and wondered about where it came from or how it got there?

For visitors to the YHA at Bungalow Bay, Magnetic Island there was no such guess work needed.

This morning swimmers retrieved a distinctly green/blue national park marker from the water with the the word "Whitsunday" in white lettering.

Another sign was found indicating Whitsunday Island camping spots and toilets.

The signs 300km from home arrived three and half month after Cyclone Debbie tore the Whitsundays to pieces, at Florence Bay, Magnetic Island.
